AMBER ALERT: Search Widens for Girls Missing from Oakridge Park

Local authorities have issued an urgent appeal for information following the disappearance of two young girls yesterday evening. Maya Miller (6) and Sophie Vance (7) were last seen playing near the central playground area of Oakridge Park at approximately 5:45 PM.
Maya is described as a Black female, approximately 3'8" tall, last seen wearing a pink sweater. Sophie is described as a white female with shoulder-length blonde curly hair, last seen wearing a denim jacket. Both girls are residents of the local area and were under the supervision of a guardian when they vanished.
Police are asking anyone who was in the park between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM to come forward. "Every second counts," says lead investigator Detective Sarah Halloway. "If you saw anything unusual, no matter how small, please contact the tip line."
